When my mother had a nervous breakdown, which is what we grew up calling her #bipolar episodes, we were cared for by family friends and foster carers. My childhood was chaotic and traumatic. When I became a mother I suffered PTSD as those early memories tormented me. Writing my #memoir #thingsnobodyknowsbutme helped me to unburden and process my trauma. More about my memoir.
I am now addicted to #memoirwriting when I need to process or take stock. If you’re in Melbourne’s West I’m running a memoir writing workshop at Caroline Springs Library, book here. Or join my mailing list to find information about other courses and mentorship opportunities.
