I survived my first year of teaching. It was exhausting, exhilarating and exciting. I was sick pretty much every term, and heard the phrase "It will never be this hard again," quite a few times. This is me as Cinderella at the Literacy dress up day. (This is what happens when you take your 5 y.o. daughter to the costume shop). I appeared at the 2014 Melbourne Writers' Festival on a Coming of Age panel with Demet Divaroren. And we did so well we're coming back in 2015. Yay! Went to Queensland on a much needed family holiday. Attended some excursions to the State Library of Victoria and Werribee Free Range Zoo. And was on a West Writers Our Stories Forum on panel about Writing Selves with Christos Tsiolkas, Omar Musa, Imbi Neeme. My favourite moment was with this photo with Christos.
