As Good as Dead by Holly Jackson

My mini and me have finished the Good Girl's Guide to Murder trilogy with the third book As Good as Dead.
Mother: "I loved everything about this series and this last book was perfection in its twists and turns, and the unexpected sleight of hand we have come to expect from Jackson." Daughter: "A great book, kept me captivated throughout, one of my favourite trilogies." |
Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

My mini me and I are continuing the Holly Jackson fan club and read the second in the Good Girl's Guide to murder titled Good Girl, Bad Blood. Holly Jackson has absolutely outdone herself in her second book in the series and we are in love with Pip.
Mother: "Jackson is an expert at the misdirect. Each time I'm reading her books I think I'm onto the mystery, and each time she surprises me. The characterisation and depth of storytelling just gets better and I love reading Pippa's evolution." Daughter: A gut wrenching read with superb plot twists, devoured this in 2 days, brilliant book with a perfectly thought-out plot. |
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
|
I began reading to my daughter when she was 4 months old and now that she’s 14 years old we are united in our love of words and books. We have been reading and sharing opinions on the same books and I thought it might be fun to open up the conversation in an informal mother and daughter bookclub. So this feature "Words We Share: Uniting Mothers and Teen Daughters through Reading" will be about us sharing our views about books we have read together. Our first one is the most recent book we read The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. Have you read it? Do you want to read it with your teenage daughter?
