I have decided to formalise my mother and daughter book club which is called "Words We Share: Uniting Mothers and Teen Daughters through Reading" in which we will be sharing our views about books we have read together. I’ve created a fancy page and added a comments feature so we can have a conversation there, as well as on any social media, and have a hashtag #wordswesharebookclub Our first one is the most recent book we read The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. Have you read it? Do you want to read it with your teenage daughter? https://www.amrapajalic.com/words-we-share.html I am in the process of publishing Alma’s Loyalty audiobook narrated by the amazing Nina Nikolic and I’m so excited that I want to do a special giveaway of the first two audiobooks in my Sassy Saints Series. Book 1-Sabiha’s Dilemma and Book 2-Alma’s Loyalty, and it’s super easy to enter. All you have to do is like, tag and follow me. I’ll be giving away an audio pack to one winner on each social media platform with the winner announced on Monday 26 June 2023. I’m also super excited that this is the third audiobook I have published with my small press Pishukin Press, and my fourth is in production. #writergoals
https://www.amrapajalic.com/sassy_saints_series.html How great is this? Just had the producer from ABC radio email me that interview from Tuesday has been created into its own segment. So happy. Appeared on ABC Radio Sydney Evenings with Indira Naidoo talking friendships based on my SBS Article Can you come back from a friendship fall out. Indira and I were vibing and I think I've got a friend in the making.

I began reading to my daughter when she was 4 months old and now that she’s 14 years old we are united in our love of words and books. We have been reading and sharing opinions on the same books and I thought it might be fun to open up the conversation in an informal mother and daughter bookclub. So this feature "Words We Share: Uniting Mothers and Teen Daughters through Reading" will be about us sharing our views about books we have read together. Our first one is the most recent book we read The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. Have you read it? Do you want to read it with your teenage daughter? This reviewer gets me. She really gets me. So happy!!!! And the compliment about my narrating. Doing a little dance.
amrapajalic.com/things-nobody-knows-but-me.html I have been so blessed to have worked with so many wonderful editors who supported me in developing my voice and writing at SBS. This article, my 25th, is the last article that is being published on the platform as SBS Voices is shutting down. I am so sad for the all the emerging writers who won't have the opportunity I had to to develop my writing. Thank you Candice, Caitlin, Christine, Danielle, Natalie, Sarah, for all the wonderful work you did to promote and uplift underrepresented writers. This is a sad day indeed for the publishing industry. sbs.com.au/voices/article/my-daughter-thinks-daddy-loves-mummy-more/d14nuy6q5 So happy to have received another five star review. And they like my voice. Yay!!!!! amrapajalic.com/things-nobody-knows-but-me.html
My 24th article with SBS Voices where I reflect on friendships now versus how I dealt with fall-outs in my 20s. sbs.com.au/voices/article/can-you-come-back-from-a-friendship-fall-out/3r1vsamdz |
