A Cultural Diversity Week event Growing up Muslim in Australia celebrates diversity, achievement, courage and determination while dispelling myths and stereotypes. The book is widely used in the Australian school curriculum and was short-listed for both the 2015 Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Award and the Eve Pownell Award for information books. This chat will dive into the book’s honest and heartfelt stories and how they were all bought together and will be facilitated by Bruno Lettieri.
