Writing my #memoir #thingsnobodyknowsbutme helped me to understand my mother’s medical condition. As a migrant from a Non-English Speaking Background she wasn’t even sure of the name of her medical condition and had been diagnosed as schizophrenic, yet she was a #bipolar sufferer. Knowing the label gave my family clarity and we were able to work with medical professionals to support her. Find out more about my memoir.
#memoirwriting is about telling a personal story in order to find the universal truth that can help others. If you’re in Melbourne’s West I’m running a memoir writing workshop at Caroline Springs Library, book here. Or join my mailing list to find information about other courses and mentorship opportunities.
