Just taking a moment to celebrate the good things:
Gratitude to my students who gave me such lovely results in a school survey. I was so nervous as I'd only taught them three weeks after returning from leave, and I'd just given one class back their assignments and quite a few were disappointed with their grades, so I expected them to give me low scores. I misjudged their integrity and was so happily surprised by their endorsement of my teaching. I've had sales of my memoir audiobook through my shop and am so grateful to everyone who bought it. This one feels even more personal as I narrated my audiobook and it was quite emotional, and I feel so vulnerable in putting myself out there. Submitted another SBS Voices article today and am so grateful the editors who supported me in finding my voice. To all the participants who attended my presentation through the Wyndham library tonight. I love being able to present to emerging writers and help them get a foot up in publishing. Good luck to all entrants and you should check out their competition for poetry, short stories and flash fiction.
