Met with my bestie today. We had a deep and meaningful. Something stirred, some words, threads, lines. It's a poem! Selfish or Selfless Is it better to be self-less or selfish? My bestie and I are soul mates Two parts of the whole She is completely selfless I am completely selfish She gives of herself regardless of how much it costs her I will love people only as much as they love me She will forgive and put the needs of others above her own I am unforgiving and cut those that disrespect or diss me I told her today that if we took a bit of each other We would make the perfect person For now, I will be her advisor And she will be my reminder On how to be selfish On how to be selfless
