I love shark movies and this French one did not disappoint. When the Olympic triathlon arrives at Paris there is a shark hiding under the Seine. This was great as a creature horror feature but was even more entertaining as it’s another avenue of protest by the French about the upcoming Olympics. So much fun.

I inhaled three book series with my mini me last year and it was such a great mystery series that now has an on-screen adaption. The series captures the heart and soul of the book and the six-episode season of the first book was so good and satisfying. Can’t wait to see the other two books play out on screen too. I binged watched this in one night and loved it so much.

I was excited to see this as soon as it previewed as it features Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron who are on my must watch everything list. It’s a fun rom com about a vain actor and a widow finding her second act after her daughter grows up. It had just the right amount of slapstick humour, characterisation and romantic tropey scenes. And Efron is a dreamboat. He does the best sad face and is like an action figure. Also, I love seeing actors working together and that Efron and Kidman have paired up again after Paperboy.

Have been hearing buzz about this show for ages and it’s been something I wanted to watch, and oh my lordy, it is so worth it. A satire of the superhero genre this is so in your face, offensive, and insane. I love it. I am compiling a list of my top comical scenes and it just keeps getting longer.

Another ripper read by Gentill who has cooked up yet another delightful mystery that takes you on unexpected twists and turns. It’s so outlandish and yet there is something logical about it that you almost think it could be true. Thoroughly enjoyed The Mystery Writer.
