I haven't written an update for a few weeks because life got in the way. Have been under pressure as a teacher with introducing two new text response units at the same time, so had to create teaching resources, and corrections and reports. Have dog paddled my way out of this whirlpool and can now turn my attention to my writing world again.

PhD-have a goal to write an introduction before my next supervision meeting and was feeling overwhelmed and struggling for motivation. As soon as I cleared things off my plate, I could get back to it and have a rough shape for an introduction and clarity around my thesis. Want to present a structure to my supervisors and just knuckle down and do it. Have been writing it for so long now and in so many different incarnations that I've finally achieved clarity in what I want to say. So feeling better there.

Freelance writing-have one article under contract, another request, and am hoping now that my muse is waking up again, I can get these on the front burner.

Courses-Need to refresh my Online: Introduction to Writing from Life course with Writing NSW running Wednesday 3 to Tuesday 9 July. Excited about the opportunity to work with emerging writers again.

That One Summer Anthology-is coming out this week. You might have noticed my countdown posts on my socials. This is the first time I've done them and I've found them great just for myself in terms of inspiring excitement for launch day. This is my first time in an indie anthology and have loved seeing the work that goes into it by Stephanie Morris. I wrote a novella Raf's Tide of Destiny, which is a coastal Romeo and Juliet romance and am planning this as the first to the series. Have a blog tour coming so am excited (and a tiny bit nervous) to see reader reception.
